BedKoi

Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

BedKoi (the website bedkoi.com and the BedKoi app) collects only what it needs to give you the service. This page says what we keep, why, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.

No account needed

Finding hospitals, seeing free beds and prices, calling a hospital and getting directions need no account and no personal details.

What we keep

  • Mobile number: when you sign in to the app, book a bed, or choose to add it to a report. To check the number we text you a code; the code is stored encrypted and expires within minutes.
  • Booking details: the patient's name, age, the patient's condition if you add it, and your mobile number. Only the hospital you book with and our support team see them.
  • Your choices in the app: saved hospitals, "tell me when a bed frees up" alerts and your district.
  • Notification token: a token for your phone, so the app can send you notifications.
  • Reports: the message you write when you report wrong information, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address (IP) to stop abuse.
  • For security: the internet address (IP) a code was requested from, so nobody can misuse the service by asking for codes again and again.

Your location

When you press "Near me", your phone or browser asks for permission. If you allow it, your location is used only to find nearby hospitals and show distances. We do not store it in our database.

Cookies and visit counts

The website keeps two small cookies: one remembers your language, the other your district. There are no advertising cookies and nothing that follows you to other sites. If visit counting is on, it uses no cookies and no personal data.

What we use it for

  • Checking your number, getting your booking to the hospital and texting you its outcome
  • Sending the alerts and notifications you asked for
  • Stopping abuse and fake requests
  • Keeping the service working and finding problems

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who it is shared with

  • The hospital you book with: your booking details, so they can answer and recognise you when you arrive.
  • Services that help us run BedKoi: our SMS provider (codes and booking texts), Google Firebase (app notifications), Google Maps (maps), Cloudflare (keeping the website fast and safe), and the cloud services that host our servers and images. They receive information only for that job.
  • When the law requires it: the authorities, if Bangladeshi law obliges us.

How long we keep it

Account details stay while you have an account. Bookings and reports are kept as a record of the service; ask us if you want yours removed.

Your choices

  • Delete your account at any time from the app's "More" page: your account, saved hospitals and alerts are deleted.
  • To find out what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, contact us.

Children

BedKoi is meant for adults. A parent or guardian should make bookings for a child patient.

Security

Every connection is encrypted (HTTPS). Only people who need information for their work can see it. Secret keys and passwords are stored encrypted.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page will show the new date. Larger changes will also be announced on the website or in the app.
